Shipping and Delivery Policy – Updated November 2023

 
Nationwide Ground Shipping:

Tempest Exotics, LLC DBA Technica Auto Parts offers standard ground shipping to all 50 states. Be aware that additional fees for truck, freight, and oversized items may apply, unless specified otherwise.

Delivery Time Estimates for Standard Shipping:

– West Coast: 5-7 business days

– Southwest: 5-7 business days

– Midwest: 7-14 business days

– East Coast: 10-14 business days

Our primary carriers are UPS and FedEx, which don’t deliver to P.O. boxes. We recommend providing a physical address to avoid any delivery complications or extra fees.

Shipping Carriers and Methods:

All standard shipments are dispatched via USPS or UPS, based on cost-effectiveness. Typically, orders under 1 lb. are sent via Priority Mail, while heavier packages are shipped through UPS Ground.

Shipping Outside Continental U.S.:

We offer shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, and Canada, albeit at additional rates. Customers from these regions will be contacted via email for extra shipping and handling charges. A 5% cancellation fee applies if you choose not to proceed with the additional charges. International customers are advised to contact us prior to purchase.

Order Tracking:

Tracking numbers are emailed for all orders placed with a valid email address. For UPS shipments, tracking numbers starting with 1Z can be traced on www.ups.com. For USPS parcels, tracking numbers beginning with a 9 can be followed on www.usps.com. 9-digit tracking numbers indicate UPS Freight shipments, which can be tracked on the UPS Freight website. Please be aware of potential delivery delays for residential freight shipments if UPS Freight cannot schedule a delivery time with you.

Damaged or Lost Products:

At Technica Auto Parts, we endeavor to prevent damage during transit, though some factors are beyond our control. For freight shipments, refuse acceptance of items with visible damage. For parcel carrier shipments, report transit damages to Sales@TechnicaAutoParts.com with photos and order details. Keep the original item and packaging as instructed by our team.

If your order is missing after the tracking indicates delivery, contact us within 15 business days for assistance.

Undeliverable or Refused Shipments:

Carriers will return packages to us if they are undeliverable due to incorrect addresses, uncollected from UPS facilities, or if refused by the recipient. Processing for these returns can take up to 3 weeks, and a 25% restocking fee may apply. 

International Shipments Return Policy:

For undeliverable or refused international shipments, return shipping costs may be deducted from any refund, at our discretion.

Missing Shipments Investigation:

If your package is missing beyond the estimated delivery timeframes, contact us for an investigation. For missing UPS shipments, allow up to 8 business days for UPS to locate the package before we consider a replacement. For missing USPS shipments, we allow an additional 7 business days after the expected delivery date before sending a replacement. Missing UPS Freight packages are investigated on a case-by-case basis.

Handling Fees for Oversized Items:

Items requiring special handling due to size, weight, or other requirements may incur additional handling fees, indicated on the product page and in your shopping cart.

Freight Shipping Process and Responsibilities:

For items shipped via freight carriers like Pilot Freight, it’s your responsibility to schedule and accept timely delivery. Inspect shipments upon arrival for completeness and visible damages, and refuse delivery if necessary. Concealed damages discovered post-delivery should be reported immediately. Additional fees may apply for storage, inside delivery, redelivery, or address corrections, which are not included in the handling fee charged during checkout.
