Back Order Guidelines – Effective March 2024
Understanding Back Orders:
When an item is on back order at Technica Auto Parts, it means the part is currently unavailable across all our warehouses. In most cases, this indicates a widespread stock shortage, as we await manufacturers to replenish inventory and fulfill orders. As stock arrives, it’s allocated to orders based on the order date, adhering to a ‘First In, First Out’ principle.
Example of Back Orders:
Take, for instance, the Vorsteiner Lamborghini Urus Rampante Edizione Aero Rear Diffuser – often subject to back orders. You can pre-order them, and your order will be queued based on the ‘First In, First Out’ system. Waiting until they are in-stock means starting at the end of the queue, potentially extending wait times due to ongoing manufacturing cycles.
Finding Products Elsewhere:
It’s possible to find the same product at another store, but it’s less common due to many businesses operating as drop shippers. These companies don’t hold physical stock and rely on supplier inventories. Our aim is to deliver products swiftly, sourcing from our stock or directly from manufacturers and distributors.
Order Cancellation Policy:
If you locate the item elsewhere, cancellation of your order with us is an option. We advise confirming the item’s availability with the other dealer before canceling, as inventory mishaps can occur. Remember, canceling and reordering elsewhere often means a longer wait due to being at the end of the new queue.
Changes in Estimated Delivery Times:
Provided ETAs are directly from manufacturers and can change due to various factors like production delays or customs hold-ups. We strive to offer the most accurate ETAs and assist in finding alternative solutions if delays are unacceptable. However, note that some parts may not have immediate substitutes.
Partial Order Fulfillment:
If only a portion of your order is back-ordered, we endeavor to dispatch available items promptly. In cases of international shipments, we might hold the order to send as one package for efficiency and ease of tracking.
